SurveyRewardz Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how SurveyRewardz collects, shares and uses personal data that we collect on our website (the “Site”).

Cint AB is the operator of the Site and the data controller of your personal data.

  1. What personal data do we collect about you?

We collect information about how you use and interact with the Site, such as:

  • technical information about your use of the Site (including your IP address, what pages you access on the Site, your browser type and version, your preferred language, your device type and operating system, and your referrer URL (i.e. the page from which you arrived on the Site)); and
  • information collected automatically using cookies and other similar technologies (e.g. which pages you viewed and which content you interacted with).

We also collect personal data when you provide it to us directly through your use of the Site, including when you sign up to become a panel member, complete surveys and receive rewards (“Panelist Data”). This Privacy Notice does not apply to Panelist Data. Instead, Panelist Data is subject to Cint’s Panelist privacy policy.

  1. What do we use this personal data for?

Depending on how you use our Site, your interactions with us, and the permissions you give us, the purposes for which we use your information include:

  • To provide the Site and the information and services you access through it.
  • To improve and maintain the Site, including analysing how you interact with it.
  • For security purposes, to detect and investigate fraud and where necessary to protect ourselves and third parties.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

We will only process your personal data where we have a lawful basis for doing so, and this will be determined by the purpose for which your personal data is processed. Typically, we process your personal data on one of the following lawful bases:

  • Because it is necessary to perform a contract we have with you or to deliver a page you have requested on the Site.
  • Because it is in our legitimate interests to do so (and these interests are not overridden by the impact on your privacy or other rights). Our legitimate interests include the needs to maintain, improve and secure the Site, understand how people are using the Site, and market our services.
  • Because we have a legal obligation to do so.
  • Because we have obtained your consent.
  1. Marketing communications

We may send you newsletters and marketing materials about our products, services and partnerships, where you have permitted us to do so, or where otherwise permitted by law.  If you no longer want to receive these communications you can change your preferences at any time by contacting privacy@cint.com or clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in any email. If you unsubscribe from marketing, please note we may still contact you with service messages from time to time.

  1. Who do we share this personal data with?

We may share personal data with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • We are part of Cint, a global group of companies that shares various operations and business processes. Accordingly, we may need to share your personal data with other Cint group companies.
  • Where we are using a third party service provider to provide services that involve data processing (including hosting the Site).
  • If we are required to seek legal advice to defend our rights, property or interests then we may share information with our legal and other external advisers.
  • Where we are under a legal or regulatory obligation to disclose your personal data, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our company, or customers or others.
  • If our company, or substantially all of our company’s assets, are merged or acquired by a third party, your personal data may form part of the transferred or merged assets.
  1. Storage and Retention

We may share information with other companies in the Cint group. We also use service providers based around the world. Consequently, your personal data may be processed in countries outside the jurisdiction in which you access the Site. If you are based in the United Kingdom and Europe, this means that your information may be transferred to countries where you may have fewer legal rights in respect of your personal data than you do under local law.

If we transfer personal data outside the UK or European Economic Area we will, as required by applicable law, take appropriate steps to ensure that your privacy rights are adequately protected. Please contact us if you would like more information about these safeguards.

We will keep your personal data for as long as we need it for our legitimate business purposes (as set out above under “What do we use this personal data for?”) and so this period will vary depending on your interactions with us.

  1. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide certain functionality to the Site and to understand and measure the Site’s performance.

For more information about how we use cookies, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

  1. Your rights

Depending on the country in which you are based, you may have certain rights in respect of your personal data, including the right to access, correct, and request the erasure of your data. You may also have the right to object to your personal data being used for certain purposes.

We will comply with any requests to exercise your rights in accordance with applicable law. Please be aware, however, that there are a number of limitations to these rights, and there may be circumstances where we are not able to comply with your request.
